With the Election Commission announcing the schedule to hold biennial elections to the Telangana Legislative Council by the MLAs to fill up six vacancies on June 1, deputy chief minister Kadiam Srihari and Tummala Nageshwar Rao heaved a sigh of relief. The poll schedule provided a breather to them.
The council poll provided them a breather as they took the oath of office five months back. They are expected to capture either MLA or MLC post within six months of their swearing in ceremony. Tummala took the oath on December 16, while Kadiam in January.
Kadiam has to vacate his Warangal MP seat, while Tummala did not belong to either of the Houses. So once again there shall be a by-election for Kadiam’s MP seat.
