Budget session to begin

PARLIMENTThe first session of Parliament budget meetings will begin on February 23 and last till March 16 and the  second from April  25 to May 13. The Railway budget will be presented on February 25 and the general budget on February 29. The earlier two sessions of Parliament could not transact any business due to the agitation by the opposition. Hence many bills are in pending both in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The government wants to make best of these coming two sessions. Hence it wooed the opposition time and again to cooperate in running the House smoothly. The NDA government is bent upon getting the GST and Real Estate Bills. The Parliamentary Affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu met Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh last month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also met with the leaders of opposition parties on the 16th of this month to make the same request. The speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan also will be meeting with the opposition leaders for the same purpose. All the leaders of the ruling party assured the opposition that the government was ready to discuss any subject under the sun.
