Cancer deaths in lakhs

pink-ribbon_3054334bYearly cancer claims lives of lakhs of people, according to ICMR survey. As the disease is going unabated despite efforts by doctors to eradicate it, every day 1300 patients and five lakhs yearly were dying. Though research was going on for years together, doctors could not succeed in their attempts. During 2012-14 cancer intensity has risen to six percent. After cancer TB also killed many people. As part of National cancer registry programme, the Indian council of medical research conducted a programme, which released these details. In 2014 itself five lakh people died due to cancer, the survey reported. And due to TB nearly 60,000 died. Cancer deaths are due to many reasons. Tobacco, polluted food, lack of diagnosis centres are responsible for the rise in deaths.
