Cases Compile due to Civic Bodies’ Insensitivity

high-courtHigh Court has noticed that wrong exercise of discretion, One of the major causes for cases piling up before it conferred on the civic authorities. In recent cases the HC had delivered its final verdict, the officers were penalised for wrongly exercising their discretion.

The judges of the High Court noted that that the burden on the courts will automatically come down when authorities rightly appreciate the rules and take appropriate decision.

Justice M. S. Ramachandra Rao, while allowing several petitions expressed displeasure at the authorities in wrongly exercise their discretion in granting permission for construction of houses, removing of encroachments and paying compensation to property owners. Recently GHMC refused to regularise plots of a petitioner, the judge ruled the action of the authorities arbitrary. While dealing with cases of ration dealers in AP Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy observed that this Court has no hesitation to hold that the entire official machinery is misused.

CBI urged Hyd HC to vacate KVP stay

The CBI has urged the Hyderabad High Court to vacate the stay granted on the red corner notice against MP K.V.P. In the titanium mining licence scam Ramachandra Rao involved, who was indicted by a US court. That case was recalled again. The High Court had stayed the notice in April 2014. The CBI filed an affidavit contending that KVP had no right to move the HC against the notice issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
