CBI probe hots up: Coal scam

coal-scam_052213110852CBI intensified its probe tentacles in the coal scam as the Modi government is also serious about it. It filed another charge-sheet in the irregular allotment of coal blocks. A total of 14 allegations were filed. Along with former Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, former chief minister of Jharkhand Madhukoda was in the list of CBI allegations. CBI filed a charge-sheet on Murgadangal coal allocations in Jharkhand. CBI charge-sheets were also filed against industrialist Navin Jindal along with former secretary, coal department, H C Gupta, Jindal steel and power limited, Jindal reality private limited including names of five companies. Allegations were filed under the criminal conspiracy, cheating, prevention of corruption act. CBI said that coal allocations were made against 1988 Coal Act. It had already secured key clues in the coal scam. Several prominent people were examined. Many big-wigs were smeared with coal suit in the State. Minister in UPA cabinet Dasari was also interrogated. Besides, his offices were raided by CBI. Enquiry was speeded up by a series of CBI charge-sheets.
