Chandrababu enters ‘his chamber’ at Velagapudi

cm-babauAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today formally started working from Velagapudi near Vijayawada where the temporary secretariat of the residual state has been established. He entered into his chamber amid vedic chanting this morning, signalling the final shift of base from Hyderabad. With this, the story of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad is over as the mega city has become the capital of Telangana.
The shifting of all the departments is already over and barring a few, AP has moved over to its new capital region Amaravati a couple of months back. The only major wing to be shifted is the High Court which has been functioning as common to both the states.
As per the AP Reorganization Act, 2014, AP can continue in Hyderabad for ten years but it chose to shift in just two years and the reasons are said to be mostly political.
