Hyderabad: Telangana state council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has finalised the change of syllabus in the government. And the director Jagannath Reddy approves it, as the new syllabus will come out next week. And the new state of Telangana has constituted subject in telugu and social.
Nearly 40% changes to telugu and social sciences textbooks and new syllabus will reflect culture, poets, festivals and eminent personalities in the textbooks from I to X. “Andhra culture festival and poets have been replaced with Telangana culture, festival and so on .And the national council of education research and training, the syllabus has been framed”, officials said. There are some changes in classes VI, VII and VIII will now study about the farmer’s armed struggle and other officials.
“Telangana movement right from 1969 to 2014 and all other incidents have been placed in the history. The book will also feature Srikanth Chary who immolated self for the cause of the State. Likewise, several other persons are also featured in the textbook,” an official who is acquainted with revision said.
An official said “However, this year, due to the bifurcation of the State and also in the wake of revision of textbooks, there is a delay in the process. Last year textbooks were distributed before the reopening of schools and this year we may not be able to give before schools open
