Char Dham Yatra begins

CharDhamTour-300x216The much awaited Char Dham Yatra began as scheduled. The Uttarakhand government gave permission for the Yatra and made elaborate arrangements, including safety measures, for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. Devotees are expected to visit Gangothri, Yamunothri, Badrinath and Kedarnath temples. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawath said that their government would stand by the pilgrims in case of any problem arising on the way. In 2014 there was a fall in pilgrims’ number due to the 2013 deluge at Kedarnath temple. But the Rawath administration has taken all precautionary steps to ensure a smooth Yatra in the Himalayas region. The State Government is also hopeful of a good increase in the pilgrims’ strength.
