Chief Minister’s KCR Letter to Modi

Chief-Minister’s-KCR-LetterIn the Indian Parliament the Women’s Reservation Bill is one of the longest pending legislations. It was first introduced in 1996. It remained trapped in controversy ever since.

The Bill seeks to reserve 33.33 per cent seats in the Lok Sabha and in the State Legislative Assemblies for women. After a long battle on 9th March 2010, the Bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha.

Though , it is to be finalized by Lok Sabha, K. Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana has submitted a letter to Narendra Modi in regard to pass the Women Resrvation Bill.
