Perhaps the only mobile phone in China with Android, Oppo with a unique rotating camera will launch in India the end of this month. The phone company will launch its most successful model N1 to begin with. The model has Oppo’s Color OS, based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 600 SoC clocked at 1.7GHz. The battery is a mammoth 3610 mAh that will leave woes of run out battery quite behind.
The specialty of the phone is the 13MP camera with CMOS sensor and f/2.0 aperture which is impressive in itself, but there’s a specially-designed Fujitsu IPS imaging chip. The camera has a 6-piece lens design, which Oppo says is the first of its kind on Android. The entire camera rotates 206 degrees allowing it to act as a front-facing camera as well.
The price band is not yet indicated by the company.
