Chinese mobiles banned in India

Untitled-24In a decision that would help the domestic industry indirectly, India has imposed ban on impost of certain products of china which includes f milk and milk products, certain mobile phones, solar panels and a few other items as they are ‘substandard’. The mobiles were banned as they don’t follow the security codes, according to Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
“Some mobile phones, which do not carry International Mobile Station Equipment Identity number or other security features, and some steel products have also been banned. The milk products are qualitatively low. Hence this decision” she said.
“Complete ban of import from any country is not possible now due to WTO rules even if we have problems diplomatically, territorially or militarily,” she said.
