Hyderabad’s Ambedkar Degree College, run by an organization set up by Telangana’s senior leader Sri G Venkata Swamy, is celebrating its annual day festival today. Police Commissioner CV Anand was the chief guest at the function which was attended by the eldest politician from the area, Sri Venkata Swami who is also the founding Chairman of the college, his son Sri Vinod and Smt. Saroja – wife of Peddapalli MP Sri Vivek.
Chief Guest Sri CV Anand has congratulated the college management for providing such good opportunities to the depraved sections of the society from the underdeveloped region of Telangana. He thanked College Chariman Sri Venkata Swami on behalf of all students.
Ex minister Sri Vinod spoke on the occasion and said “The College was started 42 years ago to benefit the poor and deprived of the society with the ideals of Sri Ambedkar as our guideline. I Advise all young people here to make your own standing, educational institutes give you direction, but choose your own goals.”
Founding chairman of the college, Sri Venkata Swami spoke on the occasion and said “Government is not helping educational institutions…. Study well, emulate students who have reached higher positions from here, when students from here reach higher positions, we feel happy and our work well done.”
