Search and applications giant Google is going to buy JetPac Inc, an iPhone app startup that designs social travel applications for an undisclosed amount. JetPac Inc. is a San Francisco based company created a mobile application that uses pictures from various social networking sites and combines them to create city guides.
JetPac Inc. has disclosed in its website about the deal with Google without providing the reasons. “In the coming days we are removing Jetpac’s apps from the App Store and ending support for the apps from the 15th September,” said Jetpac’s official site’s homepage.
As part of expanding the company, Google had also bought Nest Labs Inc., a company that makes smart thermostat and smoke alarms at the beginning of this year for $3.2 billion. This deal was one of the largest deals in the history of Google Inc.
