Classified Files of Netaji Released

23brk_93The Prime minister Narendra Modi declassified and released the files pertaining to the disappearance and death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at the National Archives of India on Saturday. While declassifying the files in the presence of the family members of Bose, Modi became emotional for a while. A total of 100 secret files which were supposed to unravel the mystery behind the death of Bose were declassified and digitalised. Even after 70 years of his disappearance his death remained a mystery. The two inquiry commissions endorsed that he died in a plane crash in Taiwan on August 18, 1945. But, as his family members and many others did not believe the plane crash theory, the secret files were released on their demand. Incidentally, the Taiwanese government declared no plane accident occurred on August 18, 1945 and hence no possibility of Bose dying in a plane crash.
