CO2 levels in Northern Hemisphere now at alarming 400 ppm: WMO

The World Meteorological Organization has announced that the CO2 levels in the atmosphere in the Northern Hemisphere has crossed the 400 ppm level in April for the first time in human history. The “threshold is of symbolic and scientific significance and reinforces evidence that the burning of fossil fuels and other human activities are responsible for the continuing increase in heat-trapping greenhouse gases warming our planet,” wrote the WMO in a statement today.
