Cold Wave Disrupts Normal Life In Telangana

Cold-WaveThe normal life in Telangana seems disrupted by the intense cold wave prevailing in the state. The northern district of Telangana, Adilabad recorded an all time low temperature of 4 degree centigrade. Especially, the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Rangareddy are worst affected with the cold wave sweeping throughout the state. Medak, Nizamabad and Ramagundam recorded a lower temperature of 9 degrees. According to the Principal scientist, Agriculture Research Station, Adilabad, D. Mohan Das, the reason for Adilabad recording lowest temperatures is its location on a higher altitude in the Deccan plateau. The lower altitude places of Adilabad have recorded a relatively high temperature. Meanwhile, the temperature in Karimnagar dropped to 11 degrees, prompting the district Collector to instruct the people for remaining indoors during night and early morning. The district of Warangal has recorded an all time low temperature of around 11 degrees. Even Khammam district has been recording lower temperatures making the life difficult for those who eke out their living by collecting the forest produce.
