Cold Waves Making Telangana, AP Shivers

AP-ShiversTelangana and AP shivers under extreme cold wave. Mercury plummeted to 1°C Monday in Lambasingi, a tribal area in Visakhapatnam district As the lowest temperature of 4°C was recorded in Adilabad in Telangana state.

On Sunday coastal city of Visakhapatnam chilled at 0°C and other agency areas in the district ranged between 2°C and 4°C.

Lambasingi in Chintapalli mandal located more than 3,000 feet above sea level. Araku Valley attracts tourists during the season.
In AP and Telangana temperature continues to be below 10°C.In Telangana, Adilabad remained the coldest place with 4°C, an all-time record.

IMD has attributed the cold wave conditions to cold dry northerly winds blowing into the two states. It has forecast that temperature might further dip in the coming days. Deserted around 8 p.m. and people are remaining indoors till late in the morning.

The sale of warm clothes has gone up.
The health authorities have also come out with a list of precautionary measures for people to protect themselves from the cold.

The daily-wage Beggars, orphans, destitute and labourers are the worst affected by the harsh weather.
