The Supreme Court on Monday passed some relief to the engineering colleges by giving consent for second counseling in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with the condition that the second phase should complete before November 14.
The students were facing the brunt of the bifurcation of the states as the concerned governments were unable to sort out the problems.
Supreme Court also stated that no further extension in the given deadline would be approved, as the students are on the verge of losing a precious academic year.
The T-gov had earler caceled permission of 174 colleges for not maintaining the standards which made them disqualify for the first phase of counseling. The colleges had filed a PIL in the Supreme Court.
