Compulsory Helmet for Two-Wheelers

HelmetCyberabad traffic police has begun a week-long exercise to instruct two-wheelers on the priority of wearing helmets, it’s been compulsory and penalizing those who ignore the rule.

As road safety week began on Tuesday will continue till Jan 12, “ This is a prime opportunity to remind people about the importance of safety helmets, helmets save lives and reduce the risk of brain injury”, said ACP M.Sridhar Reddy of LB nagar division. Helmets are important components for the two wheelers the official said.

According to the report 282 inevitable accidents involving motorcyclists, nearly 90 of the victims had suffered head injuries, said a cyberabad traffic police. DCP Avinash Mohanty said “We have already started booking cases for not wearing helmets. We will educate people during the road safety week”.

The other officials said that two –wheeler rider should keep in mind while purchasing a helmet i.e. from which material it is made. He added it is made of light weight and crack-resistant fiber and high –grade plastics are optimal, it depends on the gauged shape and size. One ought to educate oneself to assure that they buy the right kind of helmet official said.
