The high court granted today conditional bail to the accused Reventh Reddy, Sebastian and Udayasimha in the note for case. The court ordered that Reventh should attend the ACB enquiry whenever summoned and that he should stay in Hyderabad or Kodangal. Reventh was also directed to furnish a bond of Rs 5 lakhs and two sureties and surrender his pass port. Reddy is also not supposed to make any comments in public. Advocate general argued that Reventh’s bail would affect the investigation process. A plot was hatched for fall of government and it should be treated as a serious crime, the AG argued and demanded the source of Rs 50 lakhs brought by Reventh. The AG also informed the court that the accused Mathiah was at large. However, the court did not accept AG’s arguments and granted bail to the accused.
Family members of Reventh and party activists celebrated the bail granted by the court. Crackers were burnt soon as they received the information in front of the house. Reventh’s wife Geetha thanked all those who stood by her husband when he was in crisis. She also said that party supremo Chandrababu stood by them. She asserted that Reventh’s fight on public issues would continue despite arrests. Reventh enjoys the support of the people, she said.
