Congress party has been planning to block the House proceedings and demand dismissal of Central Minister Nitin Gadkari over CAG report, which exposed several irregularities in the companies belonging to him. Congress MPs were planning to raise the dust so that the GST bill would be held up. The MPs of Congress were adopting a concept to get the House adjourned for three days in succession so that the said bill would be returned. The ruling party has also no majority in the Upper House. In view of this situation the Modi government has been trying to muster support from others as it is firm on getting the said bill passed. It also issued a whip to all its MPs to attend the House without fail.
Congress is also devising a new strategy daily in order to corner the Central Government in the Parliament. Congress leaders as of now attacked the government on land acquisition bill and farmers’ problems. In addition to the Opposition attacks, the saffron party faced another shock in the form of CAG report, which exposed the irregularities in the companies belonging to Union Minister Nitin Gadgari. As the budget session is coming to an end the Centre has resolved to get all the bills, including the GST bill passed in Rajya Sabha. The Congress leaders are also getting ready to attack the government taking up the issue of Gadlari’s companies. .
