Congress Decides to Retaliate ‘Operation Akarsh’

In a meeting of senior Congress leaders in Telangana called up by TPCC chief Ponnala Laxmaiah to discuss over the alleged ‘Operation Akarsh’ of ruling TRS, the leaders resolved that the move to poach opposition legislators in the maiden budget slated for Nov-5. The meeting was attended by senior Congress leacers K Jana Reddy, D Sridhar Babu, Mohammed Ali Shabbir, D Srinivas and N Uttam Kumar.

The leaders decided to fight against the alleged ‘chating politic’ of KCR, and said that the move is an attempt to kill the spirit of parliamentary democracy in the state.

The Congress party also announced that it will take strong legal action against all the legislators who take a dip from the party. The Congress will also raise the issue in the assembly session.

Speaking to the media persons after the meeting, Ponnala Laxmaiah said, “Instead of fulfilling the promises made during the election, KCR was concentrating more on weakening the Opposition parties by encouraging defections”.
