Congress Protests in Parliament Against Renaming Airport’s Terminal

The Opposition Congress raised its voice in the Parliament today on the issue of renaming the domestic terminal of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, after NT Rama Rao. Congress felt that the entire building of the RGIA at Shamsabad is one erection and it is unnecessary to divide it in two just add a name to it.

Congress reacted on the direction issued by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation to rename the section of the airport after the founder of TDP NT Rama Rao.

The Congress members of Rajya Sabha shouted slogans against the move. They carried placards along with them in the well of the House.

The Congress announced to drag the matter to the judiciary.
