Cotton farmers’ stir again

WGL3Cotton farmers again came on the war path demanding remunerative price
of Rs 5,000 and presently due to their stir cotton sales came to a stop in Yenumamoola market yard in Warangal district. Market yard was shut down for a week as CCI imposed new rules which irked the farmers. Farmers were told to bring dry stocks without packing in bags. This led to a farmer torching his cotton bag but CCI officers meddled and put off the fire. Security was called in as the farmers’ stir was up.
