Congress Peddapalli Lok Sabha candidate MP Vivek has attended a “Meet the Press” program in Godavarikhani today. He spoke on various issues of importance to the constituency and to Telangana in general. This is what he said…

“KCR did not keep his word with Congress, I could not remain with a party, leader who failed to keep his commitment, hence I came back to Congress because I had to keep my own word with Congress, I have no differences with TRS or KCR, I did not leave the party over seats or power, I cam back on ideological issues, Sonia Gandhi Gave us Telangana despite clearly knowing that the party would suffer deeply in Andhra region, I felt that it is my responsibility to support such leader…

Telangana was realized because of the true struggle put up by the students and other sections of the society, Congress has also played it’s role, Congress MP’s including my self, were the reason behind removing the 14F rule. I took part in the Rail Roko, was arrested wrongly and put up in jail too, If I had not taken part in the Telangana movement, I would have got a minister’s post in the Center, but I decided to be with the people, I will do the same in the future too,

When the Congress government comes into power after next elections, I will ensure Pranahita water is brought to this area, I will ensure mining jobs are passed to eligible family members, I will work towards raising the income tax limit, I will work for bringing mining related industries located in Andhra to here so that the youth here gets to try entrepreneurship and grow in life, I will see to it that more mines are opened, an industrial corridor is established here giving more opportunities here, the 4 thousand megawatt power generation center will bring more that ten thousand jobs here. Support Congress again to ensure Golden Telangana you have dreamed,” concluded MP Vivek in Godavari Khani meet the press program.
