A local court Uttar Pradesh has returned the charge sheet filed by the UP police against BJP national president Amit Shah, citing to the technical fault in filing the charge sheet. Mr Shah has been accused for a hate speech he delivered in April during a campaign for general elections.
A senior police officer said that the police are studying the judge’s comment.
The Muzaffarnagar Police had lodged an FIR against Amit Shah yesterday. Muzaffarnagar and its surroundings were devastated by communal violence last year.
UP’s nine assembly and one parliament constituency is preparing to go for a by-poll on September 13.
Amit Shah was made the UP in charge of BJP for general elections where the party recorded a marvellous performance. Later, he was promoted to the top post in the party. He is always considered as the closest aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
