Crushed rights of three States; Will go to Court over Polavaram: KCR

The Central Government has crushed the rights of three States – Telangana, Odisha and Chattis Garh. This is a proof again that the Seemandhra nefarious designs on Telangana are continuing. We have been vocal in our opposition on Polavaram dam right from the beginning, we will not take this lying down, we will go to any extent to protect every inch of our land, we will take necessary legal steps to reclaim our lands, We will expose the scam to usurp the natural resources of the region, We will protect our tribal brethren under all circumstances, this is a gross violation of Article 3″ said CM KCR after the Polavaram Bill has been unilaterally passed by the NDA government today.

Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy too has spoken against the high handed attitude of the Union Government and declared that the legal options are being explored already and steps will be taken soon.

Congress Ex MP Ponnam Prabhakar has said that the situation is entirely arose out of CM KCR’s negligence, if KCR had been to Delhi to register his protest, the situation may not have come, the Congress is not to be blamed in this issue, said Ponnam. Other senior congress leader D Srinivas too has criticized the way the Bill was passed in under 22 minutes, not allowing even discussion despite allotting two hours for it in Lok Sabha today. “The government had been behaving in a conspiratorial manner in this issue right from the beginning, the Ordinance was moved with extreme urgency, now the Bill too has been pushed through without taking the views of the concerned assembly, How can the Center move this Bill though three states are objecting to it,” questioned D Srinivas.
