Union finance minister Arun Jaitley stated that cyber crimes- which have been taking different shapes of late, have become biggest challenge for the police force and advised the new generation of officers to imbibe latest technological updates to counter them.
He attended the passing out parade of trained IPS at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad on Friday. “Cyber crimes have been on the rise. Probing of them require knowledge in forensic and narcotic technology apart from regular policing” Mr Jaitley said. He lauded the police force for their increased involvement in addressing social evils and troubles. Mr Jaitley said terrorism has become a bane for the society and to root it out, the force needs modern and ulta modern technical support.
He advised the young pass outs to follow great values of freedom fighters. 124 new IPS officers have passed out successfully during the training.
