Dasari Narayana Rao Clarifies About Allegation Against Him


In New Delhi, a question was raised by the ED for the alleged routing of Rs 2.25 crore from a firm to his firm Soubhagya media to the MP and Telugu film-maker.

Dasari Narayana Rao who is a former minister said to ED that he worked as director of the firm in 2008-11 and the money had come to the firm after this period, investigators said.

They said that “proceeds of crime” of money laundering and to be tainted.

Allegations against him were false, says Mr Rao after the 6 hours of questioning.

As per the reports, the 1st question is done in Hyderabad by the ED and after onwards was recorded under provisions of the PMLA.

Mr Rao was MoS of coal from 2004 to 2006 and again from 2006 to 2008 and he was ordered to present on Dec 18 with additional documents about his finances and details with regard to executive decisions taken during his tenure in the coal ministry.
