Minister for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatraya will represent India at the 104th session of ILO on June 10, 11 and 12 to deliberate on labour related issues. Labour Ministers will deliberate on issues of workers, implementation of the recommendations of the ILO, employment creation. ILO concentrates on labour welfare, protection and to create a better working environment to workers. Dattatraya is leaving for Geneva on June 9. On June 10, will be participate in the BRICS (developing countries group) meeting.
At Asia Pacific Group ministerial meeting he will speak about initiatives taken by India for providing better employment opportunities and social security to people, commitment to unorganized workers and on implementation of labour standards towards strengthening the workers’ rights. He will take part in the dinner hosted by the Director General of ILO Guy Rider later.
