Hyderabad: The election commissioner Brahma said that the process of delimitation of Assembly in both states will begin only after the centre takes a decision on it. And the constitutional amendment though the AP reorganisation act has permitted it, he said. And the officials also informed the EC that the matter was with the government of India, the CEC said.
And the Brahma hoped that the centre would take a decision soon. Representing the seven mandals of Khammam district in Telangana, were merged with AP after the bifurcation process. The EC was pursuing the matter both with MHA and ministry of Law.
Mr. Brahma ruled out the possibility of three MLAs whose constituencies overlap in the seven mandals, representation the assemblies of both states.
