Happy life is far cry in India if the World Happiness Report is any indication. Denmark is the world’s happiest country and India, despite giant strides in many fronts, stands at 118th position in the 158 -country list. Burundi is the least happy, according to the report
Switzerland, Iceland, Norway and Finland made up the rest of the top five.
The US was the world’s 13th happiest country, the UK was 23rd, China was 83rd and India was 118th.
At the bottom of the list were Syria, Togo, Afghanistan, Benin, Rwanda, Guinea, Liberia, Tanzania and Madagascar. All of those nations are poor, and many have been destabilized by war, disease or both.
Even Bangladesh and Pak are better than India with 110 and 92nd positions respectively.
