Chandrababu Naidu owned ‘Heritage Foods’ have to face tough time in Telangana ahead as the state-ruling TRS is all set to attack the TDP chief and his food production firm at stern. Dr. T Rajaiah, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Health and Medical, said on Wednesday that Heritage Milk contained detergent and a case against the company is pending in a city court in this regard.
He further added that the government is ready to take any severe action against Heritage Foods and ten more companies, after any verdict comes from the court.
When the Telugu Desam legislators staged protests in the well of Assembly, KT Rama Rao, Information Technology minister said, “It’s the TD members who initiated the debate on adulterated milk in the House. They sought to know what action the government took against suppliers of adulterated milk. When the government is giving a reply, the same members are obstructing it.
Yes, we have copies of orders issued by the Kerala government imposing a ban on Heritage. Why should the TD members raise a hue and cry over this issue?”
Meanwhile, Heritage Foods released an statement clarifying the accusations made on it. The statement said, “Heritage does not use Oxytocin at all as the company does not own cows. Complete ban on Heritage in Kerala is also false. In August 2012, the Food Safety Commissioner of Kerala issued a temporary order on one variant of Heritage Milk called Padmanabha. The order is withdrawn. On a similar false allegation made by MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, we filed a defamation suit,”
