The Union minister for Road Transport and Highways said that development of the country is possible only through the network of highways. Laying the foundation stone for the 163rd national highway expansion works at Madigonda in Warangal district along with KCR, he said that taking into consideration the request of the chief minister KCR Rs.16,500 crores for the development of highways in Telangana. Mr. Gadkari said that Bangaluru-Hyderabad Green Express Highway would be built. Permission also was given for the construction of a high way from Hyderabad to Vijayawada. He also said that the road between Bhadrachalam and Kautala would be developed as a high way. He promised Centre’s help to the state for the development of Godavari waterways.
The chief minister in his speech thanked Mr. Gadkari for sanctioning 1800 KMs highways to the state.
