The visit of Devendra Fadnavis, the state BJP chief to the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is termed as courtesy call. It is also said it was a traditional meeting to greet Nitin Gadkari, which Devendra Fadnavis has been following from a long time.
After the meeting Nitin Gadkari even said “I’m happy in Delhi”. The interesting part is that in the recent past there was a rather contradicting statement by Nitin Gadkari. He said it was the Party’s central leaderships decision and he would accept whatever responsibility is given to him. The situation further gets complicated when around 40 legislators have sent a word to the BJP leadership favouring Nitin Gadkari as the CM of Maharashtra. The only technical problem is that Nitin Gadkari is already an Union Minister. The BJP had already declared that no Union Minister will become the State Head.
The Maharashtra results are already out. The BJP has done exceptionally well, but has fallen a little short to from its government. The Party is working out strategies with other parties. It is said the CM’s name will be announced only after the government formation strategies is derived, and that will be initiated only after Diwali.
