Devotees expressed concern over the delay in darshan of Laxminarasimha Swamy atop Yadgirigutta even as the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao personally set the tone for starting modernizing works recently to convert Yadadri into a temple city. The rush has increased by the day and the temple officials cancelled the general tickets for darshan of the Lord. Instead they introduced vip break darshan tickets but same situation continued. Devotees complained that they were made to stand in the serpentine queues for hours. However, the rush is likely to go up particularly in the weekends as the renovation works began.
Timings were not being followed for one hour vip break tickets darshan. Facilities were also not provided, say devotees. The queue is in progress from 9 am to 4 pm. Devotees asked as to why the vip tickets were issued when they were not allowed for darshan on priority. It was alleged that officers were concentrating more on collections than on providing basic facilities despite clear instructions from the chief minister to take care of devotees.
