Dhoni to Become One of the Owner of Chennai’s Football Franchise

Untitled-11Currently, the Chennai football franchisee is owned by Vita Dani and Abhishek Bachchan. Chennaiyin Football Club is one of the eight franchisees of Indian Super League.

After Virat Kohil and Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is another cricketer who has shown his interest in football.

The soccer league’s aim is to help India, qualify for the 2026 World Cup, which is currently 145th in FIFA’s world ranking.

The Chennaiyin FC, is a 28-member team which includes 12 foreign nationals from Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, Colombia and Sweden. They will start their ISL journey from 16 October 2014.
