Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ gets off the ‘Maratha Mandir’ After Two Decad


Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer superhit film ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ which is known as the Bible of Bollywood romance, is all set to go off the ‘Maratha Theatre’ screen by year end. The film which was release in 1995 was running on the silver screen in the Mumbai theatre from the very first day.

The 11:30 am slot had been fixed for the movie and interestingly the movie goes houseful for the last two decades.

As per the reports, the film will go off screen in December this year. The managing director and the theatre authorities have took the decision, due to recent drop in its collections.

Reportedly, the theatre authorities are planning to discuss the issue with director-producer of DDLJ, Aditya Chopra. The final decision will only be taken after the stakeholders give their consent.

The confirmation from Yashraj Films about any such decision is still awaited.
