DK Aruna stirs up a row in TS Assembly

DK-Aruna-stirs-up-a-row-in-A controversy has erupted in Telangana Assembly today when senior congress member DK Aruna passed a remark saying that ‘those who are running the House has no culture’. A seemingly hurt Padma Devender Reddy, Deputy Speaker who was in the Chiar, has wept and the treasury benches were up in arms demanding the Opposition member to apologize. But a determined Aruna refused to budge and said she did not aim at the Chair at all. T Harish Rao, who was insisting on apology urged the Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy to advise Aruna to apologize. Jana Reddy in his typical style said the matter should be left to the conscience of the members. Harish at one point of time threatened to initiate action against Aruna saying- “She has been making all the fuss. She broke the mike last time. When we are speaking she continued to give running commentary. What’s this? We want action. In our neighbouring (AP) House, a member (Roja) was suspended for one year for ‘misbehaviour’. If Aruna does not say sorry, we have no other option but to take action”. Even for this, Aruna has not reacted but insisted that she did not belittle anyone. Padma Devender Reddy finally left the matter to the conscience of the members.
