Doc’s white coat spreads virus?

doctor-stethescope-coatA survey found that diseases also spread due to white coats and long gowns worn by doctors and so a demand has come up to change the dress code. A PG student from Bangalore Edmond Fernandez asked the Central Government to take a decision on the dress code at the earliest. Fernandez stated in a journal that most of the junior doctors among others loiter about even for shopping in white coats and in such an event there is scope for spreading virus. He also reminded that UK had banned in 2007 long white gowns used by doctors. Besides, he gave a sage advice that patients need good treatment, good will and a grin from doctors and not white coats.
