A minister in Kiran Kuamr Reddy’s Cabinet, Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad wrote to the Governor asking him to probe misuse of power by Kiran during his final days in power. He has alleged that Kiran made deals worth at least couple of thousand crore rupees during his last days as CM. He said that perhaps this is the first time that a CM has took bribes from IAS and IPS officers also for transfers.
His only motive in establishing a political party is to escape from legal actions on his money grabbing deals and misuse of power, said Dokka. Kiran should have established a party before any decision on the bifurcation was announced, Dokka felt.
Dokka has been on a collision course with Kiran ever since the bifurcation bill was sent to the AP Assembly. He had been deriding the new party plans of Kiran fom the beginning. He made sarcastic comments on several occasions that Kiran is good to hold press meets only, not a party.
