Drinking Water AT The Door Step

Top waterThe officials of Mission Bhagiratha are busy to make the CM KCR’s promise of providing drinking water at the door step in nine constituencies by April 30 a reality. Right from the CMO secretary Smita Sabarwal to Panchayatraj Special secretary S.P Singh all were busy with the ground work along the Mission officials in procuring the permissions of forest, Transo and Railways to lay the pipe lines. Already pipelines for 200 kilo meters were laid. Medchal, Kutbullapur in Rangareddy district, Siddhipeta, Gajwel and Dubbaka in Medak district, Janagaon, Palakurti in Warangal district, Bhuvanagiri and Aleru in Nalgonda district and a mandal in Tungaturti were to be provided with drinking water by April 30. Two tapping points to supplement drinking water to Hyderabad from Godavari were being arranged. One point at Ghanpurgutta near Medchal and another point at Kondapaka in Medak district were being constructed. The TRS government utilises the Right of Way Act to lay pipelines for its ambitious water grid project, from anybody’s land. Even the CM’s farm land was not spared and pipes were laid across his farm land. It is estimated that a total of one lakh kilo meters of pipelines were to be laid to provide drinking water to every door step in the state and the officials of the Mission Bhagiratha were already on the job.
