ED quizzes Khan under FEMA

ShahBollywood actor Shahrukh Khan was questioned for three hours under FEMA by the Enforcement Directorate in the irregularities in the sales of shares of Kolkota night riders owned by the film actor. The enquiry has been going on since four years. Irregularities in the IPL came under the focus of ED as it issued notices to the actor in 2011 over the irregularities in the sales of said shares. In 2008-09 night riders sports private limited shares were sold to Mauritius based company ‘C Island’ investments owned by J Mohatha. The value of each
share was between 70 to 86 but it was shown as Rs 10 only and paved the way for over Rs 100 crore irregularities in the foreign exchange. Following the verdict of the supreme court the CSK, Rajasthan Royals teams were cancelled and now irregularities in film actors’ shares has put the future of IPL franchisee in a jeopardy.
