Egypt’s ex-president convicted

morsi-death-sentence-secrets.siAn Egyptian court has sentenced former President Mohammed Morsi to death. Earlier he was removed from president’s post and jailed for 20 years when he imprisoned those who protested against his rule. He was arrested along with 24 Muslim brotherhood leaders on January 28, 2011. But Morsi escaped from the jail after two days. His death sentence will be referred to the Egypt’s religious head as a custom and then the final verdict will be delivered by the court on June 2. The court made clear that the death sentence was imposed on Morsi for his anti-national activities and for escaping from the court.
