Elderly Persons staged Dharna for Aasara Pension Irregularities

Aasara-PensionOn Wednesday in Sircilla a dharna was staged in front of the municipal office by 300 elderly persons along with Congress councilors alleging that officials are not enquiring into irregularities committed in Aasara pension scheme.

They expressing anguish they said that they are facing severe difficulties during festival time with the delay in receiving pension amount and demanding the state government to distribute pension ward-wise as it was done in the previous state government rule. And said that they have to wait for days together to receive pension amount as officials are distributing it at one place by clubbing three wards.

Ramulamma who is elderly person said that names of those who received pensions in the past two months were deleted from pension list and said that officials are telling them that their names were deleted after conducting a survey. She pleaded with the officials to include their names in the list and render justice to them.
