Energy Department Has Allocated amount of 7000 Cr

Energy-DepartmentHyderabad: Telangana state energy department has allocated an amount of 7000 crore in the budget as against 4800 crore last year. The state government was more interested to set up thermal power plants with an amount of 4000 crore and new projects with 3000 crore.The instructions of the KCR, TSGENCO expedited the process to set up 7600 MW of thermal power plant in Nalgonda District, coal-based plants at Kothagudem with 800 MW with 3,800 crore and 1080 Mw with 4200 crore at Manuguru in Khammam district.

Whereas, BHEL and NTPC has also given support with the government and 4000 crore would be required with the new project. The highest allocation was around Rs 5000 crore during last decade.
