A case has been filed against the leaders of Telugu Desam Party Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Ravula Chandrasekhar at Nampally court on Wednesday for allegedly insulting the state symbols of Telangana. The complaint is filed under section 295A, 504 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code.
K Govardhan Reddy, an advocate, who was annoyed by the remarks of the Yellow-brigade leaders passed in a press meet at NTR Bhavan in Banjara Hill on December 6, filed a case. The Nampally court accepted the case.
The Banjara Hills police has been asked to probe into the matter and submit the report to the court by January 12, 2015.
Errabelli Dayakar Rao had termed the Chief Minister of Telangana ‘mad’ during the press meet, alleges the complainant in the file.
