Karimnagar: Etala Rajender, Finance and Civil Supplies Minister told the Government hospital doctors to provide better medical services to regain people’s faith. He was on a review meeting on Thursday at the Collectorate on tackling swine flu in which district officials and doctors attended.
Etala said that people were lagging awareness on Swine Flu, so he informed district officials to include people’s representatives on need to create awareness on Swine Flu. He asked ASHA volunteers and ANMs to raise awareness in villages.
He sanctioned Rs. 5 Crore for the district to improve facilities in the government hospitals; he said there is no scarcity of funds for purchasing medical equipment and improving basic amenities.
He said to concerned officials to ensure toilets and urinals were clean.
Neetu Kumari Prasad, District Collector said, posters on swine flu should be prominently displayed at bus stands, main junctions, PHCs, village panchayats, Anganwadi centres, Tahsildar and MPDO offices. She has instructed officials to distribute tablets of swine flu in all area hospitals and community health centres.
Etala instructed higher officials to not to sanction leave to the doctors due to swine flu.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar, Peddapalli MLA Manohar Reddy, DMHO Dr Ali and other officials were also present.
