Ex- MP Vivek quits Congress, joins TRS

CM-KCR1Giving a huge jolt to the Congress, former member of Parliament from Peddapalli constituency in Adilabad G Vivek has resigned from the party and formally joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti today. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has admitted him into the party by presenting him the party’s rose shawl at a function organized at the TRS Bhavan.

Along with Mr Vivek, others who joined the ruling party include Nalgonda Congress MP Gutta Sukender Reddy, Miryalguda Congress MLA N. Bhaskar Rao, the lone CPI Devarkonda (ST) MLA Ravindra Kumar Ramavath, former Congress minister G. Vinod, and Congress leader Juvvada Narsing Rao from Korutla. A host of party leaders, municipal chairmen, counsellers, sarpanches, village level leaders have also defected to TRS.

Both Mr Vivek and Vinod are siblings and sons of legendary Congress leader G Venkataswamy.
