Farmers’ suicides rock House

27TH_LOK_SABHA_1066309fFarmers’ suicides issue rocked the Lok Sabha today. War of words between the ruling party and Opposition members gave rise to a ruckus in the House.

Speaking on the subject, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi blamed the NDA government for not considering the farmers’ welfare.

He asked as to why Prime Minister Narendra Mody did not talk on farmers’ suicides when he speaks on Make in India programme.

Rahul asserted that Modi must go to Punjab and see the farmers’ plight. At this juncture, MPs from the ruling party blocked Rahul’s switch.

Central minister Venkiah Naidu intervened and said that their government was ready to discuss farmers’ suicides. But Congress members continued to make noise.
